Beware of Panda (Google)

At the end of February 2011, Google started to deploy new algorithm for sorting the search results called Panda update or Panda Farmer. It was a change in search results which was showing to the users searching in USA at the beginning. This update has started to expand to all countries and language muttations, including the Czech republic, in last few weeks. Some webs registered 40% to 80% traffic decrease from organic search (non-paid search) at Google.

Why is this happening? Google keeps its motto "don't be evil" and tries to eliminate poor-quality pages and websites, that got their possitions by using unfair technics (black hat SEO - spam linkbuilding, etc) from their searching results. Unfortunately, what happens in real is the opposite sometimes – good-quality webs fall, spam webs get the first places. Current updates of evaluating algorithm are the largest in few years (Google developed this update for more than one year) and it looks like important change of rules in the web searchers area. We will see, how will the situation change, but it means much work for SEO optimizers and the game with Mouse (search engine algorithms) and Cat (SEO marketers) continues...
